I just had my curly hair cut by Hannah.  She did an awesome job and she really knows how to care for curly hair. I went to Ocean’s Edge salon for my bridal hair and makeup, along with my daughter who is my Maid of Honor. The ladies were warm and welcoming. The service was fantastic. They provided wine and mimosas for us. Jamie did a wonderful job on our hair and Amanda did an amazing job on our makeup. Later in the evening, we ran into Amanda and she was so sweet; Amanda recommended a restaurant for us to celebrate later in the evening. I’d say these ladies went above and beyond just hair service. Cancellation Policy
Please provide 24 hour’s notice if you are unable to make your appointment. This allows us the opportunity to offer your time to someone on our waiting list. Any cancellation or reschedule made within 24 hours of your appointment time will incur a 50% missed-appointment fee.

Kelly Knecht

Kelly has been doing hair for 41 years but still wakes up excited to go to work. She has done it all over the years, but is a lover of all things color, curls and shortcuts. Kelly considers herself a family hair care pro. She is especially passionate about lived in color and low maintenance styles that grow out beautifully. Her newest endeavor is Japanese Head Spa Treatments which is a spa treatment for your scalp health while combining relaxation techniques for your soul. Her training includes time in Italy with a top international Stylist, but her biggest lessons have come from decades of connecting with real people in the salon.

Kelly moved from the Chicago suburbs of Illinois to Surfside Beach, South Carolina for sunshine, family and healing after losing her husband. She feels that she has found peace and purpose here. When she is not doing hair she usually surrounds herself with her kids and pets, dancing to music and being just the right amount of sarcastic. She can’t wait to meet you in her chair or in the Head Spa room.

Kat Sabatini

Kat is a dedicated beauty professional with over two decades of experience in esthetics and cosmetology. She began her career in 2001 as an esthetician in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and earned her cosmetology license in 2012. Kathryn spent ten years at a popular salon in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, before moving with her family to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in September 2025.

Known for her friendly personality and attention to detail, Kathryn loves helping clients look and feel their best. She’s a true “girlie girl” with a big love for Philadelphia sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles.

Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys traveling. Alaska is her favorite trip so far, but she also loves the Virgin Islands and that easygoing, beachy vibe inspired by Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney.

Melissa

With over 30 years of hands on experience, Tori specializes in deep tissue and trigger point therapy to help relieve chronic pain, release tension and improve overall well-being.  She is a state licensed professional dedicated to delivering effective, personalized care for every client.  She relocated to the beach in 2020 and instantly fell in love with the peaceful, coastal lifestyle.

Tori has been proudly serving the clients of Ocean’s Edge Salon and Spa since 2024 offering therapeutic treatments in a relaxing environment. Whether you’re seeking recover, relief or deep relaxation-Tori is here to help you feel your best!

Evelyn

Originally from New York, Evelyn began her beauty industry journey in Miami FL in 2007 as a salon receptionist.  After earning her cosmetology license in 2015, she opened her own salon in 2018 which she ran until 2020 when it closed due to the pandemic.  In 2023, Evelyn relocated to Surfside Beach and recently joined the Ocean’s Edge team in June 2025.  With her years of experience and a passion for the industry, Evelyn now splits her time between the front desk and assisting the stylists behind the scenes. She recently just had her license transferred here to SC so that will be a huge bonus in helping the stylists as well as jumping in when the need arises! In her spare time, she loves to travel and spend time with loved ones.

Melissa

After relocating from Northern New Jersey to Surfside Beach in May 2022, Melissa joined the Ocean’s Edge Salon team in April 2023 as a part-time front desk receptionist. With a strong background in administrative and client-focused roles, she quickly transitioned into the full-time position as Salon Coordinator in October 2023. In this role, Melissa brings organization, attention to detail, and a passion for exceptional customer service to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for both clients and staff.

Before entering the salon industry, she gained valuable experience across several fields of business. These roles helped shape her professionalism, communication skills, and ability to manage complex tasks in fast-paced environments.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending quality time with friends, family, and her Goldendoodle, Champ. She loves going to the beach, listening to live music, reading and playing board games!

Kathryn

With over 25 years of experience, Kathryn Mangieri is a highly skilled and nationally certified massage therapist. Licensed in SC, she blends clinical expertise with a deep passion for client wellness. Kathryn is also a SC licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant, bringing a unique perspective to bodywork that integrates therapeutic precision with restorative relaxation.

Kathryn is a graduate of Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Massachusetts, one of the most respected institutions in the field. Her commitment to professional growth has continued throughout her career with extensive continuing education in various massage modalities. Her specialities include: Total Body Stretching, Medical & Orthopedic Massage, Repetitive Motion Injuries, Reflexology, Hot Stone Therapy and The LaFleur Method of Swedish Massage.

Whether providing therapeutic relief from chronic pain, enhancing mobility through targeted stretching or creating a serene escape from life’s stresses, Kathryn’s mission is simple: to help every client feel their best – body, mind, and spirit.

Sharon

Sharon is a licensed hairstylist with over 20 years of experience in the New Jersey/New York area. She moved to South Carolina in October of 2022 in search of fun in the sun and joined the Ocean’s Edge Salon team in January of 2023. Sharon feels communication is key in her work and takes the time to listen to what each client wants while offering expert advice on what works best their hair type, lifestyle, and personal style.

She is well-versed in a wide range of professional color lines and cutting techniques and specializes in hair extensions from multiple top-tier brands. Sharon also offers discreet services in a private room for clients seeking hair replacement or mesh integration systems. Whether you’re looking for a total transformation or a little touch-up, Sharon is here to make you feel confident, refreshed and fabulous-while having some laughs along the way.

Outside of the salon, Sharon is a beach lover through and through. For her there is nothing better than a walk along the shore, blue skies above and sunshine on her skin. When she isn’t near the water, you will probably find her laughing, joking or learning something new. Her current obsessions are Pickleball and Golf!

Missy

Missy moved from Pittsburgh, PA to South Carolina in 2022 and joined the Ocean’s Edge team in March of 2023. With more than 20 years in the spa and salon industry, Missy is passionate about helping clients look and feel their absolute best. She loves customizing every treatment to suit individual needs, ensuring that each session is both luxurious and relaxing. Whether it’s a revitalizing facial, the best spray tan on the Grand Strand or a soothing body treatment, Missy focuses on creating an experience that leaves clients glowing, refreshed, and renewed with a personal touch and unparalleled hospitality. She is currently available by appointment for individual and group spa sessions.

When she is not in spa pampering clients, she is spends quality time with her husband and fur babies. She has a passion in rescuing animals in need, cooking, baking and reading a good book!

Dee

Meet Dee, a vibrant hairstylist with a passion for crafting stunning lived-in blondes, precision cuts, and expert grey coverage color. Originally hailing from the sunny shores of Myrtle Beach and raised in the scenic landscapes of upstate New York, Dee brings a unique blend of warmth and creativity to every appointment. When she’s not transforming hair, you can find her exploring new destinations with her six adventurous children and supportive partner. Dee believes that a great hairstyle can boost confidence and bring out the beauty in everyone, and she’s dedicated to making each client feel their absolute best. Let Dee work her magic and help you shine!

Jamie

Jamie has been bringing fresh style and confidence to her clients for over two years. Originally from Tennessee, Jamie specializes in color, blonding, and perms—helping each guest find the perfect look to highlight their natural beauty. She’s passionate about boosting confidence and believes that great hair is more than just style—it’s a form of self-expression.

When she’s not behind the chair, Jamie loves spending time with her dogs and getting lost in a good book. Her welcoming personality and dedication to her craft make every appointment a fun, confidence-boosting experience.

Hannah

Born and raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina,Hanna has always known she wanted to be a hairstylist. Growing up in the pageant world sparked her love for beauty and creativity, and in 2019 she turned that lifelong passion into a career. She specializes in dimensional color, bridal hair and makeup, and tape-in extensions. She loves helping clients feel confident, radiant and truly themselves. Whether she’s creating a soft, natural look or a full glam transformation, Hannah brings a personal touch and genuine care to every client that sits in her chair. On Hannah days off she loves to go boating with friends and family or binge watch TV shows with her dog!

Michele

Michele started her career as a hairdresser in New York City in 2005. She officially moved to the Myrtle Beach area in August of 2021 and joined the Ocean’s Edge team shortly after. She specializes in long hairstyles, blonding, extensions and smoothing treatments such as Brazilian Blowouts as well as ProAddiction. She has trained with top professionals to earn certifications in the latest techniques, always focusing on creating customized looks while keeping hair healthy and strong.
Outside of work, Michele loves the beach and spending time with her family including her two Frenchies.

Jill

With over 11 years of experience behind the chair, Jill brings both skill and passion to every appointment. Originally from Iowa, she made the move to Myrtle Beach in 2020 and has been proud to call this beautiful place home ever since. In 2021, Jill joined the talented team at Ocean’s Edge Salon and Spa, where she has been able to grow with an amazing group of professionals and wonderful clients.

Jill specializes in blonding, balayage, precision cutting, and Brazilian blowouts, and loves helping clients achieve looks that make them feel confident and refreshed. Her approach is always personable and believes getting to know her clients and sharing a good time together makes the experience just as meaningful as the final result.
Outside of the salon, you can usually find Jill enjoying the beach with her kids. The ocean is her happy place, and loves the balance it brings to her life.

Maureen

Meet Maureen. She has always been well served by her over active imagination and thoroughly enjoys the creative process. Maureen is truly a people person and endeavors, “To enjoy, and to bring enjoyment to others.” You’ll often find her engaging in shenanigans, one of her favorite pastimes. Besides fun and games, Maureen is a serious entrepreneur and business woman, and feels fortunate to lead the crew at OE since 2017.

Originally from Philadelphia, she spent most of her life in the Lehigh Valley of PA. She relocated to Surfside Beach in January of 2014, after her snow shovel broke for the 3rd time and she took it as a sign. Although planning on learning how to surf and write her memoirs she saw the opportunity and knew Ocean’s Edge could be a world class destination salon and spa. Well, she couldn’t resist making this little oasis in the heart of Surfside a reality. When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll find her working on her other projects, a podcast, a new theatre company, 3rd Act Theatre, or walking around Surfside with her dog, Crazy Jane.

Ashley

With over 21 years of experience behind the chair, Ashley brings both expertise and passion to every client she works with. Originally from Buffalo, New York, she made the sunny move to Myrtle Beach in 2020 and has been part of the talented team at Ocean’s Edge Salon since 2021.

Ashley specializes in all types of hair coloring services, with a true love for highlighting and creating customized colors that complement each client’s unique style. Her goal is always to help guests feel confident, beautiful, and completely at home in her chair.
